We’re Maddi (that’s me!) and Frances, a mother and daughter team who share a love for flowers, creativity, and finding beauty in the everyday. I trained in floral design at Kingston Maurward College, where I earned my Level 2 qualification and fell in love with the art of letting nature speak for itself. What started as a personal passion has grown into something much more, a way to connect with people, tell stories through flowers, and add something special to life’s moments, big and small.

Frances has always shared that same love for flowers and design. Together, we work side by side, combining our ideas, instincts, and a genuine appreciation for the natural world to create arrangements that feel fresh, seasonal, and full of character.

At The Flower Shed, we don’t believe in pumping chemicals into natural things to make them last longer. Flowers die. It’s what they do. And in that, there’s something grounding and beautiful. It reminds us to live in the moment and appreciate what we have, while we have it. We aim to keep our work as sustainable, honest, and thoughtful as possible, from how we source our blooms to how we wrap and deliver them.

Based in the South West UK, we feel lucky to do what we love in a part of the world that inspires us every day. Whether it’s flowers for a wedding, a farewell, or just because, we’re here to create something meaningful, one stem at a time.
